Snow Peak Recalls Propane Fireplace Inserts and Lava Rocks Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Burn and Fire Hazards

CPSC Product recall issued Oct 8, 2026.

This recall involves the Takibi propane inserts and lava rocks, fireplace accessories that allows Snow Peak’s Pack & Carry Fireplace L (ST-032) and XL (ST-034) to operate on propane fuel instead of wood or charcoal. The propane insert includes a detachable hose with a gas flow regulator that controls the intensity of the flame with the twist of a knob. The product also includes lava rocks. Model number ST-332-US can be found on the product packaging and in the user manual.

Stop using the product immediately, even if yours seems fine. CPSC recalls are issued after a hazard is confirmed, often from a small number of incidents.

Read the remedy line on the notice — it will say refund, replacement, or free repair kit. Companies must honor it whether or not you have a receipt.

Do not resell or donate a recalled item. Reselling recalled products is illegal, and thrift shops are a common way they keep circulating.

For nursery and toy recalls, check secondhand and hand-me-down gear too. That is where recalled cribs, sleepers, and bassinets usually turn up.

Report a product that hurt someone at SaferProducts.gov. Those reports are the main trigger for new investigations.
