Chrysler (FCA US, LLC): Roof Rack Crossbars May Detach
NHTSA Vehicle recall issued Sep 10, 2026.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach. Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Look up your 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. It shows every open recall on your specific vehicle, not just the newest one.
The repair is free at any franchised dealer for that brand — there is no expiration on safety recall repairs, and you never pay for parts or labor.
If the notice says 'do not drive' or 'park outside,' take it literally. Those wordings are reserved for fire and crash risks.
Register your car seat with the manufacturer. Car seat recalls reach owners only if the seat is registered.
Bought used? Recalls follow the vehicle, not the owner, so an open recall from years ago is still yours to get fixed for free.
