Rewaco Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH: Loss of Vehicle Control from Loose Shock Absorber
NHTSA Vehicle recall issued Sep 16, 2026.
Rewaco Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH (Rewaco) is recalling certain 2024 RF1 ST-3, 2024-2025 PUR3 GT, 2024-2026 RF1 ST-3 Touring, RF1 GT Touring, and PUR3 GT Touring three-wheeled motorcycles. The connection between the piston rod and rod end in the rear shock absorbers may loosen, resulting in a loss of vehicle control. A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash or injury.
Look up your 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. It shows every open recall on your specific vehicle, not just the newest one.
The repair is free at any franchised dealer for that brand — there is no expiration on safety recall repairs, and you never pay for parts or labor.
If the notice says 'do not drive' or 'park outside,' take it literally. Those wordings are reserved for fire and crash risks.
Register your car seat with the manufacturer. Car seat recalls reach owners only if the seat is registered.
Bought used? Recalls follow the vehicle, not the owner, so an open recall from years ago is still yours to get fixed for free.
